Source confidence system
Know what each Velora number can honestly prove.
Use this layer before judging a trader. It turns public source coverage, returned windows, missing values, and freshness into a simple manual-review language.
Confidence ladder
exact
Exact source field
A public source returned the field directly, such as a leaderboard value, current-position value, market metadata, or stored response timestamp.
Check the source label and freshness before comparing it with another trader.
Exact still means source-scoped, not a complete account statement.
derived
Derived from returned rows
Velora calculated the value from visible public rows, for example closed-position samples, returned trades, or current positions.
Read the formula note and row count before treating the number as strong evidence.
Derived values are only as broad as the returned window.
sample
Sample or window-limited
The endpoint, stored pool, page, or hydration window covers only part of the public universe visible to Velora.
Compare the returned window with the question you are asking before saving or comparing the trader.
A clean sample can still miss older activity or fields outside the current source window.
stale
Stale or needs refresh
The value exists, but its timestamp or hydration marker is old enough to reduce confidence in the current decision.
Reopen the source route or wait for a fresh public-data run before relying on it.
Stale evidence can explain history, but should not drive current setup notes alone.
unavailable
Unavailable
The source did not return the required field, so Velora keeps the state empty instead of turning absence into zero.
Treat the missing field as a review blocker or remove that metric from the decision.
Unavailable is an honest product state, not a failed score.
Velora Academy explains how to inspect traders, read public Polymarket data, and separate real metrics from estimates.
Velora Academy documents what the interface can show today, where each number comes from, and when a metric should be treated as unavailable.
The core habit is simple: never read a metric without its source. Public leaderboard fields, returned trade history, current positions, and closed positions all answer different questions, while the future formula layer remains intentionally undefined here.
